Not sure if it is a limitation with the SPX, the monitor I am using, the HDMI cable I am using or the Microsoft Display Dock. I had to use an additional USB-C to HDMI also attached to my SPX to get it to display any image to my monitor. The HDMI would not display any image to my monitor when connected to the dock directly. I just wanted to make a quick post that I was able to get the Microsoft Display Dock working with my Surface Pro X (somewhat).
